The 12th Meeting of Conference of Directors of National Libraries in
Asia and Oceania (CDNLAO) was held on September 4-5, 2004, at the Meeting
Room 313, Office Building of the National Library of China, China. On behalf
of the Deputy Director of the National Library of China, Mr. Chen Li, Mr.
Yan Xiangdong, Director of the International Cooperation Divison, NLC presided
over the meeting. Mr. Ramachandran Rasu, Secretary General of IFLA
was present at the meeting.
Directors and proxies from 12 countries attended the meeting. 13 countries
(including countries not attending) had submitted country reports, and
the attendants outlined their reports. Japan and China made presentations.
The next meeting will be held in May 2005 in Malaysia.
