Priority Objectives for FY2006 and their Evaluation

The NDL sets up specific objectives to be carried out within 1-3 years in order to improve our services in the area of the priority objectives defined in the NDL Vision 2004. We assess the progress in each objective and publish the results of the evaluation in the following fiscal year.

The following are considered in the evaluation.

Progress

Evaluate and grade into three ranks according to the extent of achievement and progress of each project set to attain the priority objectives, compared with our plan in FY2006:

Progress as planned, Progress as planned,
Less progress than planned, Less progress than planned,
No progress No progress

Achievement

Levels of improvement of services for users at which each objective is aimed were evaluated into the following four grades. Criteria for evaluation is if they have become more used, judging by the number of accesses and others, as a result of increase in the number of materials or contents through promotion of a project.

Achieved sufficiently Achieved sufficiently
Achieved to some extent Achieved to some extent
Achieved little or nothing Achieved little or nothing
Not yet ready to have any result Not yet ready to have any result

The result of the evaluation is as follows (click each priority objective to read more detailed descriptions including the reasons of the result and statistics).
