Digital Information Resources Roundtable

In recent years, an increasing number of libraries provide digitized materials via the Internet. To enrich such digital contents and enhance their accessibility, it is important that libraries and related institutions engaged in the same tasks work together.

The National Diet Library (NDL) established the Digital Information Resources Roundtable in FY2009 to strengthen cooperation with museums, libraries and archives (MLA) and address common challenges related to digital information resources.

In FY2010, the NDL conducted a survey targeting domestic public libraries actively conducting digital archiving projects as one of the activities of this working group.
