On Feb. 15 (Wed.), the NDL will hold the Scripts Archives Symposium "In Search of Lost Scenarios and Scripts: the Significance of the Recycling of Culture" co-organized by the Television and Radio Writers' Association of Japan.
Exhibition "Graphic Magazines in Meiji, Taisho and Showa Eras" (Japanese)
In an age without television or the Internet, the magazine was one of the most popular visual media. From Feb. 1 to Mar. 2, the Tokyo Main Library is holding an exhibition which displays about 190 magazines from our collections featuring visual representation.
Results of on-site user surveys now available
In 2011, surveys for on-site users were conducted in the Tokyo Main Library, the Kansai-kan, the International Library of Children's Literature and three Special Materials Rooms in the Tokyo Main Library. The results are now on the web.
